The European Day of Languages is celebrated every year on September 26 and it is meant to encourage language learning for young and old. Being convinced that linguistic diversity is a tool for achieving greater intercultural understanding and a key element in the rich cultural heritage of our continent, the Council of Europe promotes plurilingualism in the whole of Europe.
Romania Levant Association marked the occasion on Friday, September 30th, with an activity for children that aimed at showing them why learning languages is important.
The event featured a presentation by Mrs Anca Cheaito (see file below).
We were honored by the presence of consul Mr. Catalin Albu, who took part at the activities of RLA for the first time since the beginning of his mission in Lebanon.
Ziua Europeana a Limbilor este sarbatorita in fiecare an la 26 septembrie si are ca menire incurajarea invatarii limbilor straine.
